Hi everyone…I just ran across this wonderful posting in one of the membership sites that I am a part of. I think that this blogger did an amazing job of describing how to identify possible keywords that you might use as a keyword exact domain name for your turnkey internet business site or blog.
I am a firm believe in the importance of identifying the best possible keywords for your business. If Google is the online real estate market then keywords are the location, location, location that are the three most important things you must have to succeed online! This is not my first post about keywords and their importance nor will it be my last and this blogger just had such a great method that I wanted to share it with you right away.
Enjoy her message – try her method and as always I wish you continued success in attracting abundance in your life!

Goal with this program is to find keywords that lots of people are searching for, but not a lot of competition. Then I plan to stand in front of them waving my arms.
My first niche is digital SLR cameras. I use the google keyword tool and entered digital slr camera. The right-hand column shows results for ‘broad’ match for the keyword. I use the drop down menu and change it to ‘exact’ match. This tells me how many people looked for that exact keyword.
Then under ‘choose columns to display’, I add ‘show estimated CPC’. This will tell me if advertisers are paying decent money to advertise in this niche.
Then I sort the ‘local search volume’ (for the usa) by clicking on it so the search terms get sorted highest to lowest.
Then I look for a keyword that gets at least 2400 exact match searches per month and CPC at least $1.00.
When I find a keyword, I plug it into Traffic Travis (a little piece of software) and it tells me how difficult it would be to rank on the first page of google with that keyword.
So the keyword ‘best slr camera’ was searched for 2400 x per month, the advertisers were spending more than $1.00 and Traffic Travis told me it would be easy to rank for that term.
So I went to Go Daddy and tried to by ‘bestslrcamera.com’ but it wasn’t available. That’s what I mean my exact keyword domain. But ‘bestslrcamera.org’ was available. If you can get a domain that matches your keyword, it’s an extra boost.
Now when checking go daddy auctions I always sort the results by the ‘traffic’ column. Then if there are any great domains getting a lot of traffic, I check their google rank. I just google ‘google rank’ and find a rank checker and plug in the domain name. I think clicking on the domain in go daddy might take you to a page that shows page rank too.
Jack feels that an existing domain has more ‘juice’ than a new one. And he might be right.
But that’s how I decide on a niche. A keyword already generating traffic, with money being spent on advertising and relatively low competition
Some people pick niches based on their passions. It just takes longer to rank that way.
